PHOTOART My Canada includes

May and June 2017 I facilitated a 2-week PHOTOART workshop with Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 classes at Bayridge Public School. The aim of the project was for the students to photograph subjects around the school that reflected the theme of "My Canada includes". Students learned how to edit and enhance their photographs, were required to write a "My Canada includes" statement and take portraits of each other. I designed 8.5 x 11 inch profile pages for each student, featuring the student’s portrait, “My Canada includes” photograph and statement, and, created 5, 16 x 20 inch class posters featuring all “My Canada includes” images. Thanks to Principal Helen Peterson for this celebratory opportunity, the teachers for their support and the students for their enthusiasm through the project.
